Ratner Middle East Fellow Khury Petersen-Smith speaks with Cat Brooks from Law & Disorder on KPFA about the enormous humanitarian catastrophe and growing death toll in Gaza, Israel’s repeated violations of international law, as well as the ramifications of Islamophobia and anti-Arab racism in the United States.

Petersen-Smith also discusses Biden’s foreign policy approach in the context of being essentially a wartime president without the United States itself being at war, as well as the impact of real-time images in media and on social media of the attacks on Gaza serving as a counter to misinformation, disinformation, and propaganda during this time.
