Olivia Alperstein is the Deputy Communications Director at the Institute for Policy Studies. Together with Communications Director Peter Certo, she helps lead the communications team and devise communications strategy. She manages press outreach and strategy for IPS and helps connect media outlets with IPS experts. She also helps to oversee promotion of IPS's timely research and resources. Olivia has spent the past nine years cultivating a career in nonprofit communications, harnessing the power of compelling fact-based research and stories to advance bold solutions and strategies that challenge and transform unjust policies. Her prior experience includes work in communications, development, legal organizations, political campaigns, and nonprofit advocacy. She holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and joined the IPS staff in 2020.
