Phyllis Bennis on Al Jazeera: Netanyahu’s Rejection of Gaza Withdrawal Plan Keeps Genocide Going
Phyllis Bennis tells Al Jazeera English that Netanyahu's rejection of a phased Gaza withdrawal exposes the limits of US pressure that exists only in words — and that as long as weapons and money keep flowing, the genocide continues.
Al Jazeera English interviews Phyllis Bennis, director of the New Internationalism Project at the Institute for Policy Studies, on Netanyahu’s refusal to carry out a phased withdrawal from Gaza as agreed — warning that without real US pressure in the form of cutting arms and military aid, the genocide will continue. “There have been 1,100 people killed in Gaza by Israeli strikes just since the so-called ceasefire deal was passed in October of last year,” Bennis says. “The notion that the genocide is over is simply not the case.”
