Analyzing the Department of Energy's FY 2012 Budget

For a new energy future, the Department of Energy needs to be free of the shackles of nuclear weapons.

The Energy Department is being called on to usher in a new energy future for the United States but isn't equipped to meet that challenge. The Obama administration should fundamentally restructure it, starting by moving the nuclear weapons complex into the Department of Defense.
