Emira Woods on the 2010 - 2011 Ivory Coast Crisis

April 6, 2011 ·

The rule of law, the will of the people, and the results of the elections must be upheld in the Ivory Coast, says Emira Woods.

"It is important in the Ivory Coast, that the rule of law be respected, that the will of the Ivorian people be upheld, that the results of the elections be upheld. There must be attention paid to national healing, to national reconciliation, to making sure that the people of the Ivory Coast are actually controlling their own destiny," says Emira Woods, co-director of the Institute's Foreign Policy In Focus project, in this video commentary.
