TTIP: What Are the Implications for World Trade?

October 21, 2014 @ 2:15 pm - 5:00 pm

Trade Justice logoJoin Trade Justice Movement members and an excellent panel to discuss the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and the impacts it could have on global development.

The TTIP could be the biggest trade deal the world has ever seen. What is the deal all about? How are the negotiations progressing? What might it mean for the EU, US and other countries, especially those in the Global South?

Speakers:

  • John Healey Member of Parliament, Chair of the All Parliamentary Party Group for EU-US Trade & Investment
  • Manuel Pérez-Rocha, Associate Fellow, Institute for Policy Studies
  • Jeffries Briginshaw, Managing Director, British American Business
  • Polly Jones, Chair of the Trade Justice Movement (tbc)

This will be an opportunity to hear analysis from these experts and participate in discussion with them and other members of the Trade Justice Movement. Get informed about TTIP, develop your organisational position and network with others working on TTIP. The first half of the event will be a presentation of the new TJM strategy and members sharing what they are doing on TTIP. This will be followed by the panel and discussion.

Please register.
