Town Hall Meeting: Ferguson After the Verdict

December 2, 2014 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Town Hall_Ferguson (Part 2) finalIn light of the Ferguson grand jury decision and the continued efforts of our community to challenge systemic brutality against black men and women in America, Busboys and Poets and the Institute of the Black World 21st Century invite you to take part in a special town hall forum entitled,”Ferguson: After the Verdict“. Our discussion will focus on how we can move forward in constructive ways after the non-indictment of police officer Darren Wilson and the collective anger surrounding the shooting of Michael Brown and countless other young black men around the country.

The town hall will provide an opportunity for your voice to be heard and feature panelists:

  • Kymone Freeman, recently returned from Ferguson, MI; Director, Black LUV Festival; Program Director, We Act Radio
  • Ronald E. Hampton, Washington, DC Representative for Blacks in Law Enforcement of America; Former Executive Director of the National Black Police Association
  • Marsha Coleman-Adebayo, Founder of the No FEAR Coalition
