IPS’ SEEN is joining with the US Robin Hood Tax campaign’s more than 150 member organizations to march to the citadels of international finance to demand that the banks pay us back! In response to public pressure, European governments are implementing a tax on financial speculation instead of continuing cuts to essential social services. We can and must do the same in the US. As finance ministers meet from the big national economies known as the G-20, alongside the meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank, WE WILL GREET THEM TO DEMAND A ROBIN HOOD TAX:

Then, later the same day join us and international allies for a free screening of The Island President to learn more about how revenue from a Robin Hood Tax could help countries like the Maldives cope with climate change.
