IPS Salon: Wal-Mart Comes to Town

April 7, 2011 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Amidst class action lawsuits, Wal-Mart stores are planning to begin operating in various communities within Washington, DC by 2012. For some community members this is a reminder of the company’s insistence of ignoring labor violations and putting profits before worker rights. For others, this is a great economic boost for their community. Join community members, workers and business owners for a conversation on Wal-Mart Comes to Town: A community partner or a community drain?

RSVP to Sena – sena@ips-dc.org or 202-787-5277
