Film: They Go to Die
IPS' Global Economy project is co-sponsoring a multimedia discussion on TB and the Southern African mining industry.
They Go to Die is a documentary under development that raises concerns of TB, HIV, and human rights violations in South Africa’s mining industry through the prism of life, love and family. Unlike traditional health films, it focuses on relationships and bonding, not simply disease.
Director Jonathan Smith will screen film from the documentary, followed by a panel discussion on TB, HIV, and human rights.
This is a FREE screening for one night only.
Please RSVP to Toby Shepard: tshepard@osi-dc.org. For more information and to view video from the documentary click here.
E Street Cinema entrance is on E Street between 10th and 11th Streets.
