Join us for an Institute for Policy Studies and Indie Lens Pop-Up DC film and community discussion – a candid look at a shared sisterhood to help the rising number of homeless women veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and suffer from PTSD, sexual abuse, and other traumas. Served Like a Girl, a film by Lysa Heslov enters into the “Ms. Veteran America” competition, these amazing ladies unexpectedly come full circle in a quest for healing and hope. For this “Mother’s Day” event, we’ll honor our mothers who serve our family, country, and community in so many ways.
