Establishing a Global Climate Fund

A global climate fund with the expertise and independence to help developing countries to adapt to and mitigate climate change is essential to ensure that funding truly meets the needs of poor countries and communities, makes the best use of U.S. taxpayer dollars, protects past and present development gains, and supports global human security.

Expert panelists will discuss: 1) an overview of the UN climate talks and what to expect out of the Cancun climate summit; 2) why the establishment of a global climate fund is so important and what the fund could look like; 3) a first-­â€hand perspective on the impacts of climate change in Kenya today; 4) and a business perspective on the importance of addressing climate change.
