The economy, and society generally, has long devalued workers who toil inside of homes to care for children, elders, and people with disabilities. Because of workers and organizers in the U.S., this has finally begun to change. Part of the Family is the first book to chronicle the rising U.S. movement for domestic workers’ rights.
