Avinash Persaud, a former senior executive of JP Morgan, UBS, and State Street, analyzes the fundamental flaws that plague the current system of financial regulation and offers a blueprint for change that is accessible to anyone with an interest in the health of the world economy. One element of this blueprint is the financial transaction tax, which Persaud has promoted for many years. He is currently non-resident Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, Emeritus Professor of Gresham College and non-executive Chairman of Elara Capital PLC.
