Book Event: Ending the Iraq War and Understanding the U.S.-Iran Crisis (14th & V Busboys)
Come join Phyllis Bennis and the IPS family in celebrating Phyllis' two newest books on Iraq and Iran.

Longtime peace activist Phyllis Bennis, currently working closely with United for Peace and Justice anti-war coalition and the U.S. Campaign to End Israeli Occupation, will speak about the wars and their challenges facing the new administration as Iraq and Afghanistan become Obama's wars and U.S.-Iran tensions continue to rise. Each of the books, written in Phyllis' familiar "Frequently Asked Questions" style, provides an accessible historical overview, a thorough examination of the current crisis, a look at the players and positions on all sides, and ideas for ending current and preventing future wars.

Phyllis Bennis is a Fellow of the Institute for Policy Studies, where she directs the New Internationalism Project. She is also author of another book in the same series, Understanding the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict: A Primer. Her earlier books include Challenging Empire: How People, Governments and the UN Defy U.S. Power and Before and After: U.S. Foreign Policy and the War on Terror. All the books will be available for purchase and for signing — perfect for holiday gifts!
