Watch Out for Those Brain Cancer Apps

World Health Organization scientists want cell phones classified as a "possible carcinogen."
Revising the World Health Organization’s previous position that there's no established link between cell phone use and cancer, a group of WHO scientists has recommended that cell phone use be classified as a "possible carcinogen." While they emphasized that future research is needed to establish a more definitive connection, the researchers' comprehensive review of relevant studies does suggest that an increased risk of glioma, a type of brain cancer, is associated with mobile phone use.
